Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Supporting lifelong learning, professional competence, and continuous improvement.

What is Continuing Professional Development?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the ongoing process through which professionals maintain, develop, and enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies relevant to their professional practice.

CPD encourages individuals to take an active and structured approach to lifelong learning, respond to developments within their profession, improve professional performance, and identify future development needs.

GLO Approach to CPD

Global Leadership Organization (GLO) supports a culture of continuous professional learning and development.

GLO may review eligible professional development activities and programs against its applicable professional development criteria, including learning objectives, content relevance, delivery methods, duration, professional value, and evidence of participation.

Where the applicable requirements are met, GLO may provide professional recognition for the reviewed CPD activity in accordance with its policies, standards, and applicable terms.

CPD Program Review

Organizations seeking GLO professional recognition for a CPD activity may be requested to provide relevant information and supporting documentation for review.

The review may consider:

  • Purpose and learning objectives
  • Program content and professional relevance
  • Delivery methodology
  • Trainer or facilitator competence, where applicable
  • Duration and learning hours
  • Assessment or evaluation methods, where applicable
  • Participant attendance or completion evidence
  • Quality assurance arrangements

Maintaining a CPD Record

Professionals are encouraged to maintain appropriate evidence of their continuing professional development.

A CPD record may include the activity title, provider, date, duration, learning objectives, evidence of participation, and a brief reflection on how the activity contributed to professional knowledge or practice.

CPD and GLO Membership

GLO encourages members to maintain an active commitment to professional learning and continuous development throughout their careers.

Membership benefits, professional resources, learning opportunities, events, and other services may be made available in accordance with the applicable GLO membership category and current membership terms.

Transparency and Scope of Recognition

GLO CPD recognition represents professional review and recognition under the standards and framework of Global Leadership Organization.

It does not, by itself, constitute governmental approval, university accreditation, statutory licensing, or recognition under a national qualifications framework unless such recognition is expressly stated and supported by the relevant competent authority.

Any recognition applies only to the activity, program, provider, and approval period specifically confirmed by GLO.

Supporting Continuous Professional Excellence

GLO promotes responsible lifelong learning and professional development by encouraging clear learning objectives, appropriate quality standards, and continuous improvement.
